Melbourne Fashion Week 2020: ‘Fashion Wonderland’
fun & fabulous!
The theme for this years Melbourne Fashion Week is being a ‘Fashion Wonderland’, it’s all about everything fun, fabulous and playful.
The festival has over 150 events taking place. With everything from runway shows, fashion displays, art exhibitions and world exclusive courture reveals. The trend and theme which is being most celebrated this year is the authenticity of fashion not taking itself very seriously. Rather celebrating the beauty that comes with being real, honest and candid, while having fun along the way.
This year’s playful theme invites the festival atmosphere of “fashiontainment”, a sense of occasion, community spirit, connections and fun.
Highlights included a party inspired by the likes of Alice in Wonderland, giving all the guests the opportunity to playfully dress up, in which many of the guests opted for ruffles, frills and abundance of bright colours wonderfully worn with their midi dresses and outfits.
Also prized guest of the festival comedian-actor-writer Instagram star with 6.9 million followers Celeste Barber will make her runaway debut on Runway 3 at the Royal Exhibition Building. Recently Barber’s celebrity further rose after she launched a bushfire fundraiser that resulted with $52 million in donations.
